Notch Jointing

It is possible to adapt the Easyclip to make fittings suitable for 'notch' jointing, by fitting a 'notch adaptor' into the centre of the easyclip.

This is an effective way of allowing guttering to expand and contract due to temperature change. There is no need to anchor fittings to the fascia. This method is ideal to anchor the last joint of gutter run which ends with a stopend.

Using a notching tool, RGN1, notch the rear of the gutter.

The notch adaptor, RGNA1 fits into the centre of the Easyclip from the underside of the clip.

The notched gutter is located under the notch adaptor and the joint completed by clipping the gutter under the Easyclip on the front of the fitting.

The gutter cannot then pull out of the fitting. This method is particularly effective if fixing to rafter arms or rise and fall brackets or to anchor the last joint of a gutter run ending with a stopend.
